I raked through all my albums in the cupboard today. My yearning to my past memories is making me so gusto -zestful enough to flip every page of my picture albums. And suddenly, I found my love letters to my husband during our courting days. He kept my love letters! Even the note I had sent him was still there! OMG...I feel guilty inside..I don't know where I put his letters. I did keep the letters but I am not sure where are they now. We moved three times and I surely misplaced them. I am trying to find the letter that containing our promises. We called it Langkawi Treaty (uhh..sounds like a government or economic treaty) I mustn't ask him that too. (Sigh) I ended up cleaning and rearranging books and files in my cupboard today! It serves me right!
At last, with a shrill voice of mine (blurred) , I asked what was written in our Langkawi Treaty. He looked at me with a mock in his eyes : like accusing me "you forgot again?". He replied motionless and sipped his hot egg soup "I didn't remember also..." I wheedled him "Do you remember where we keep it?" He laughed, "Isn't it in the album, the big one? The one with full of Langkawi pictures?"
I rushed upstairs and took the big flowery album. I flipped through vigorously and THANK GOD!!!! It was there...my husband remembers it very well..compared to me...Gosh..silly me! Later on, I asked him again how did he still remember after 17 years? He told me he was the one who put the letter inside the album!
I touched the old letter. It was not really a letter actually. It was a piece of paper from a school exercise book where we jotted down our exchanging dialogs in the boat. I read it with a laughter. OMG. It was a very sweet memories. I 'll put the jotted dialog in the next entry.
